Isle of Wight Blue Cheese
This isn’t your average, shrink-wrapped, fridge-lurking excuse for blue cheese. This is Isle of Wight Blue — a proper, full-fat, slap-you-round-the-face-with-flavour kind of cheese made on an island that still values things like tradition, cows, and not rushing the job.
It starts out soft and friendly, like a neighbour waving over the fence. Then suddenly — bam — that rich, savoury blue tang kicks in, the kind that makes your tastebuds stand to attention and salute. Creamy, tangy, slightly salty, with just the right amount of bite. It’s got a natural bloomy rind, which you absolutely can eat — and probably should, unless you're the sort of person who peels grapes.
Made in small batches using local milk and a proper maturing process, it’s the kind of cheese that gets invited to cheeseboards but ends up stealing the whole show. Pair it with crusty bread, a dark ale, or a strong opinion.
-
Pasteurised cow’s milk (from actual cows — not a lab)
-
Salt
-
Vegetarian rennet (so no animals were harmed in the making of your indulgence)
-
Penicillium roqueforti (that’s the good mould, trust us)
-
Cheese cultures
Absolutely no weird stuff. Just dairy alchemy done the old-fashioned way.
